At Black Cat Services, as part of our Building Surveying support, we offer a complete range of services to investigate and identify failures within residential and commercial buildings that may have been brought on by a wide range of factors.
A building defect is defined as a material, component or finish which does not meet it expected performance criteria.
Our service offers the inspection, analysis and provision of a detailed report and will often follow the review of the following common problems:
Our report will identify any defects within the building, providing and costing the appropriate remedial and preventative solutions.
Fees will be charged as a fixed fee for an initial inspection and provision of an initial report; these will be agreed prior to us entering into contract. If we have been able to identify the problem without extensive intrusive investigation our report will advise on the remedial actions required. It is possible that we did not find the problem at this stage and the report will also identify the strategy that we advise moving forward. This may, of course, result in further intrusive investigation to be undertaken.
Any additional support due to unforeseen arising will be charged at an hourly rate (only following agreement).
